Remember your senior year? What are your fondest memories? Cheering on the teams from the student section? Formal dances? Assemblies? Just spending time in the hallway with friends? For the graduating class of 2021, so many of these special moments have already slipped away. The year holds so much uncertainty, but there is one thing that is certain… we know we can count on the support of our community to help these seniors make their last year of high school the best it can be.
For over 30 years, graduating seniors have enjoyed an all-night alcohol & drug free party at their school to celebrate their achievements together as a class. Last year, our community once again came together and worked towards this goal. Then, everything changed in an instant. It was heartbreaking to see the Class of 2020’s final months of school disappear, but also heartwarming to watch everyone come together and work so hard to make the end of their senior year special, even though it wasn’t what we all hoped for them.
Now, the Class of 2021 faces many of the same challenges and losses that last year’s graduates experienced — only this year, the losses started on day one and the uncertainty will be with us all year. They’ve started the year with no assemblies, no students and fans in the stands except parents, no hanging in the hall with friends, no dances. While we remain hopeful things will return to some sort of normal for this year’s seniors, we are ready to be creative in how we help them celebrate all they have accomplished. And, this is where we hope you’ll join us!
As the fundraising chair for Billings All High School Graduation Celebrations Committee (BAHS) this year, I am hoping that your organization will help us honor the accomplishments of this year’s graduating classes from all three high schools by donating to our graduation celebrations. With approximately 1,200 seniors graduating, the need is great. And, with the unknowns of this year and all of the special school year moments that will be missed, our goal is to provide this year’s seniors with two things: celebratory events that help them create lifetime memories and support as they step into their futures in the form of donated prizes and monetary gifts.
HOW YOU CAN HELP THE CLASS OF 2021
· Business Sponsorships. If your organization is interested in a sponsorship, we will work with you to create a package. Your sponsorship would be featured in PR, social media, and signage at the events.
· Monetary & Gift Donations. As we need to be flexible in our planning and celebrations this year, monetary donations are more appreciated than ever. Donations of any amount or type are greatly appreciated and will go towards funding celebrations and prizes & gifts given to seniors.
· Sponsor a Senior. Our goal is to raise enough funds so that no senior has to buy their own ticket to this year’s events. In past years, seniors have been required to purchased a ticket to attend to help cover the costs of food, entertainment, etc. You can sponsor a graduating senior(s)’ ticket(s) to all Rad celebrations for just $40!
If you are able to support our seniors, we would be very grateful! Donations are tax deductible and all donors will be featured on graduation programs. If you have questions or would like to learn more about sponsorship opportunities, I’d love to discuss the possibilities with you!
Thank you!
